Andrew Hine - Principal

Andrew is a senior executive with 25 years experience in corporate financial management, systems design and implementation, and strategic business development. He has an MBA from Ashridge Business School, where he focused his studies on the renewable energy and carbon markets.

Over the last 18 months, Andrew has advised several clients on the implementation of the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. He has also helped a number of SME businesses calculate their carbon footprints and to identify energy saving opportunities. He has advised on energy efficiency investments that have utilised tax incentives and use of the Feed-in-Tariff and worked with clients to develop sustainability strategies that are helping them make the transition to a low carbon economy.

Between 2006 and 2009 Andrew was the Finance Director of a renewable energy company and a member of two RenewableUK (formerly BWEA) trade strategy groups - the R&D Group and the Marine Steering Group. As a member of these trade groups he provided substantial input into the RenewableUK response to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) UK Renewable Energy Strategy Consultation (RES Con) in late 2008. As a result of this lobbying additional grant funding was allocated by Government to test emerging renewable technologies.

Having trained as a Certified Accountant, Andrew began his career as a Regulatory Accountant within the investment banking sector, working with UBS, Chase Manhattan and Lehman Brothers. He then spent eight years in the software development industry where he held Director level roles in companies supplying bespoke solutions to the Investment Banking and Legal sectors.

As an independent consultant, he has worked extensively with clients in the software and manufacturing industries. He has conceptualised, designed and managed projects for both start-ups and established companies, with an emphasis on raising capital, developing revenue streams and creating business plans for new products.
 
In his spare time plays golf, 5-a-side football and helps out with his son’s football training.
