An experienced Finance Director, primarily in quoted and AIM listed small caps. David has a strong track record in leading and financing company acquisitions as well as disposals and more recently taking a company to IPO on AIM.

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He left the profession to join Forte plc and now has over 30 years experience in commercial roles. He was part of the management buyout team which created First Leisure Corporation plc and subsequently managed the IPO that followed in 1984, becoming Treasurer and then Group Financial Controller. He was then FD and Company Secretary at Gowrings plc, a Full List fast food and motor dealership group, until the company was sold to a private buyer in 2004.

His next role was as FD at Dowlis Corporate Solutions, who he took onto AIM in 2005. More recently he has been advising SME companies including a ladies fashion start-up business and a client planning an AIM listing.

He currently sits on the accounting standards committee of the Quoted Companies Alliance, the representative body for smaller quoted companies and is a Trustee of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Gowrings Pension Fund.

David lives in Hertfordshire and enjoys all sport but particularly playing tennis.
