Keiretsu Forum is the world's largest international angel network with 800 members in 16 locations (Forums): San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Denver, Portland, San Diego, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Beijing, London , etc). Keiretsu gives you access to successful investors and entrepreneurs across the world (unique deal flow). Members can visit forums in different cities and tap into the local expertise.
Keiretsu is a member-driven organisation. The network does not invest itself, nor does it manage investments. Rather, the members bring deals, discuss deals, operate due diligence teams and manage their own investments. Members see deals that other chapters have screened, done due diligence on and invested in (particular strength is West Coast technology companies).
Keiretsu members have raised circa $200 million over 8 years (2007 Keiretsu raised $51M).
In 2006 Napo Pharmaceuticals Inc, a business originally financed by Keiretsu was admitted and floated to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange Successful Placing Raises £11.9 million (US$22.0 million*) in IPO becoming the first US company to IPO exclusively on the Main Market.
Keiretsu has now established itself in London under the joint presidency of Lord Beaverbrook and Brian Basham. Keiretsu London aims to develop the connection between the heart of entrepreneurship on the US West Coast and the world's largest international financial centre as London markets can provide an exit for Keiretsu investments in the future.
