Simon Pure are the Toast of Surrey

Orchard client Simon Pure is celebrating after having yet again picked up a major award. The design led jewellery retailer and manufacturer has this time triumphed at the prestigious 2010 Toast of Surrey awards.
At a glittering ceremony held at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Simon Pure beat off strong competition to carry off the Creative Industries Award. The judges commended them for “their long term commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting edge technology and innovative original design, while delivering excellent customer service” and stated that it was their sustained success that put them ahead of their rivals.
Creative director Steve Parsons admitted to being “gobsmacked” on the night but took time to dedicate the award to the staff who had worked so hard to ensure their continuing success.
The business started in Smithbrook Kilns, near Cranleigh in 1986, and they are looking forward to celebrating 25 years next year. Their retail shop in Guildford is marking its 10th anniversary this year.
Orchard principal, Antony Doggwiler, who has been working with the business for almost four years said “I am so pleased for them. While they have already won a number of awards for their innovative design and jewellery retail skills, the fact they have now been recognised for being a top class business means an awful lot to them.”
