Paul Cooper - Principal
Paul Cooper has over 20 years experience working with SME clients. Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 before moving to Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and then into industry with a chemicals and metals trading company. Paul then started The Fordham Waddington Partnership, an accountancy firm, as a Partner and worked closely with clients who were being courted by listed companies, advising on sale negotiations from both practical and taxation perspectives. This included becoming closely involved with price discussions and future remuneration packages, earn out calculations and warranty clauses. He was also involved in advising on the disposal of Crystal Palace Football Club to a third party buyer.
Paul sold his practice in 2000 since when he has been undertaking consultancy and director appointments for growing SMEs with a particular focus on VC fundraisings, preparing companies for IPO and managing acquisition projects for clients. His sector experience is very broad and includes the property, distribution, charities, design and food manufacturing sectors.
In his spare time he enjoys playing hockey and skiing.
